Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session. It is also recommended to apply an ice pack for 20 mins on the area of soreness, then remove for 20 mins before reapplying. Full or partial body sessions are available. Stretching may be included.

A custom treatment of advanced soft-tissue manipulation techniques and protocols used for relief of specific chronic or acute pain symptoms, injury, muscular and fascial dysfunction or conditions such as tension or sinus headaches, TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) Syndrome, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Edema, Torticollis, Compartment Syndrome, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Edema, etc. Techniques may be a combination of the already listed techniques and/or Electrostimulation, Myofascial Cupping, Muscle Testing and ROM assessment, Passive and Active Isolated Stretching, etc.
When working towards an actual goal such as pain relief or increased range of motion and using Medical Massage Therapy, it is suggested for best results that we schedule 3-4 sessions over 2-3 weeks so that the improper motor patterns and pain cycles we interrupt do not return. Sessions are typically set up 4-7 days apart.. This allows time for the tissue to heal properly before we manipulate it again.
Contact your therapist for an assessment to see if Medical Massage is right for you and the condition in question. Session length would be determined by the condition. The more severe the condition, the more time required.

Post-Surgical pain and scar tissue
Tennis And Golfer's Elbow
Sever's Pain (growing pains)

Tendinitis
Vertigo (BPPV)

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing "trigger points" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These "knots" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.

Kinesio Taping is a form of therapy invented by Dr. Kase to allow patients to still receive therapy that they could take home with them. The tape can last up to 3-5 days and helps improve circulation and lymphatic flow, takes pressure off of nerves, simulates muscle and fascial tissue, engages or disengages muscles, postural improvement, Gastrointestinal issues, and it can be used to support almost any anatomical structure from joints to the bellies of pregnant mothers. Just like massage, it is a smart and simple form of therapy that can be adapted to suit many needs and conditions. Taping sessions can be added on to any session for $20 per area, or 5 tapings for $75. (All taping purchases do not need to be used during one session.)
Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function. Stretching may be included.

As more people find out that massage works for animals, as well as humans, it has been becoming a part of the Massage industry that is rapidly growing as the demand has been getting higher and higher.
